Dr. Peter Inkpen grew up in Newfoundland and completed his M.D. at Memorial University of Newfoundland and his PM&R residency at Dalhousie University. His interest in sports medicine, the peripheral nerves “nerves outside the brain”, muscles, joints, and tendons, have led him to the field of electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Inkpen is passionate about using his expertise as a physiatrist to spot signs of nerve or muscle disease that might otherwise go undetected. When he’s not interacting with patients, Dr. Inkpen can probably be found skiing, rock climbing, or brewing a mean latte.
Dr. Jennifer Thomas, MD, ABPMR
Dr. Thomas is a true ‘Vernonite’. After growing up in Vernon she left to pursue her undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University. While attending SFU, she played for the women’s soccer team. She continued her training at St. George’s University completing her Masters in Public Health and MD. Jen’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency and Sports Medicine fellowship took her and her family to Louisville Kentucky for 5 years.
Jen is excited to return to her hometown to help patients improve their health and function. She splits her time between our clinic and the local hospital. She can be found around town with her husband and two daughters skiing the slopes of Silver Star or trying to rekindle her athletic past by playing multiple sports.
